my oval shaped banneton came as part of the ultimate sourdough kit , so I was confident I had good quality banneton , I am very pleased with it as it makes things more stream lined. it also comes with its own material insert ,which is easy to clean so less fuss and mess, my first attempt at sourdough bread making I had only one banneton and used the alternate method bowl and towel which was ok but using a bwnneton was more straightforward so I ordered a second one – just got my shapes wrong, next time I will order and round shape.
